Bravo sir! Excellent track. The sound is great - really punchy and the synths and drums all sound massive. The tune is great too. I think you could improve this track by adding some more variation into the rhythm (maybe some toms or extra snares etc). Also maybe changing the feel of the second drop a bit so that it's different to the first. But hey, well done. This is really great.

Hello! This piece is very ambitious with the length and has some cool elements. The drums really remind me of something from aphex twin's selected ambient works, which i love. The synths could do with more variations in the sound though, and the tune needs more depth. Also for a piece of this length there needs to be more of a harmonic progression i think. Anyway all these things can be solved I think you just need to work into it some more :) it's a great start for a track, it feels very emotive and has potential.

I really enjoyed this track. So much energy, clear production and excellent sounds being used. If I was to make a suggestion I'd turn down the pan on the percussion; there're some hats panned far right that feel a bit out of place.Perhaps a bit more subtle variations in the instruments would have been nice also. Anyway these are small issues nice work!

Thanks for listening and reviewing. I have a pair of Razer Tiamats that I use for all PC purposes, so I did not hear the, "panned hi-hat" until I plugged in some speakers, and they do sound to the right more prominently, which I will look into fixing. I am actually terrible with mastering, but am trying to learn better techniques to bring everything together without sounding like a hodgepodge of sounds. Thanks again!

Hello! This isn't really techno as techno tends to be much more focussed on pacing and rhythm and sound design and this piece is very melody based. So I think this would lend itself much better to progressive house or trance or maybe dutch house. What you're looking to do next is take this track somewhere, use the tune and sounds you have here as the thematic basis for a completely new section of the track - usually a drop where you cut the melodic elements and focus on drums and bass, or maybe you could change the chord progression and add a different melody. What you have here is a good build up but now you need to take it somewhere :)

invosodude responds:

Thank you, and I am going to make changes soon.

Wowee what am ambitious track at 7 and a half minutes long. For such a long track you've done well to maintain interest, but it starts to feel a bit too long by the 5 minute mark for me. The reason is because there isn't any melodic development - you filter things out and bring them back and add an extra pad but there are no new melodies to enjoy. It's a pretty good track with nice sound design and good production but the musical fundamentals need work.

jonathanmlang responds:

Well I did pay most attention to the part before 3:48 and TBH after that was really just messing about! I may make another release of this later with more melodies.

First of all, you've made this ridiculously heavy and for that i commend you! Now you need to work on adding detail to make it more interesting. The drums especially are quite bare and could do with more layers of hats and extra percussion, as well as rhythmic changes (also i think the kick is a bit overcompressed). With the second drop at 2:20something i think another element needs to come into play - a new synth melody perhaps or a different bass pattern or something. Flooding the mix with reverb doesn't necessarily make it bigger and better. You've got the outlines for a great track now you need to fill in the detail! Nice work :)

Axel7 responds:

thanks you - very - much man, I greatly appreciate this review and now I know what to do, THANKYOU!!!

The synth sound is class, the arpeggiated melody is great. This track has no sense of progression though. it needs much more work but has potential!

Hiradur responds:

Thank you for the review.
You're right about the progression which I am also not happy with. As mentioned in the description Korg DS-10 and its limited amount of patterns for a song is the cause. But I will probably record each pattern alone and will put them into a better progressing and longer song on the pc-

Firstly the production is absolutely lovely. The stereo on the guitar is awesome, sounds really polished and professional. The playing is really excellent also, reminds me a lot of iron maiden. I feel that vocals would push this to the next level though, especially at 2:17 when the heavy guitar cuts out. Anyway the track progresses forwards nicely and the jump to the irish-style violin is unexpected and awesome. All in all a great and mature piece of work. I give you 4 and a half stars in the hope that you'll add vocals in the future to push it up to 5. Well done Sir!

lhceist41 responds:

Hey, thanks for your review, man!

Well the vocals, yeah.
Actually I thought already about adding vocals before i finished this song because vocals would give this an unique touch.
But at the moment, I have no idea who could do those vocals for this song. Friends are actually too busy.
Definitely I would love to hear vocals on this.

Thanks for listening, keep rocking

It's nice but it has problems. The bass is quite horrible it feels completely at odds with the rest of the instruments because it's so discordant. Also be careful with using too much reverb on the melodic instruments, after the drop they totally swallow up the bass, which should really be the focus at that time. The drums however are really good and heavy so nice work there. keep at it!

Lone-X responds:

I appreciate the critique! My mind completely slipped on not thinking about the reverb's echo entering in the drop! Thanks!

Peace and love,
Lone X

sounds very cool but needs more of a tune i think.

DESHIEL responds:

I gotta remember that very cool means three stars now :D :D
